To ensure your new brows are healed properly, follow these Pre & Post Care instructions below. Pre-care instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the procedure. Excessive bleeding during the procedure will dilute the coloured pigment and lead to poor results.
MICROBLADING PRE-CARE:
-
- NO working out 24hrs before procedure
-
-
NO alcohol or caffeine 48 hrs before procedure
-
-
-
Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to procedure
-
-
-
Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hrs before procedure
-
-
-
Discontinue Retin-A, Chemical and Laser Peels, and microdermabrasion at least 6 weeks prior
-
-
-
Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided 1 month prior to procedure for those who do not regularly receive injectables.
-
No brow waxing, tinting, or threading one week prior
-
MICROBLADING POST-CARE:
-
-
Keep the brow area clean at all times. Use lukewarm water using a cotton pad or gauze to gently wipe/dab your brows.
-
-
-
Allow brows to dry before applying a TINY amount of ointment (air dry or pat dry with paper towel)
-
-
-
Repeat above steps 2-3 times per day for 10 days after service
-
-
-
DO NOT rub, pick or scratch, let the dry skin/scabs fall off naturally. Picking at the skin can cause scarring and loss of pigment.
-
-
-
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change colour while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring
-
-
-
Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and hot baths for 10 days
-
-
-
Avoid sweating on your face for 10 days. This can produce poor pigment results.
-
-
-
NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for 10 days
-
-
-
Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure
-
Avoid Retin-A, Chemical Peels, Laser Treatment, Microdermabrasion, or anything to treat hyperpigmentation around your brow area once healed to prevent fading of your brow tattoo.
PLEASE NOTE: For the first week of procedure, be prepared for your brows to look slightly red and really dark, bold and sharp! Not to worry, your brows will fade 30-50%!
